Clevedon Gymnastic and Leisure Club
has
been established
in
Clevedon for
over 34
years and provides gymnastic
training for recreational and competitive gymnasts. The Club currently
trains at the East Clevedon Hall and has over 200 members.
The club has a strong and vibrant
recreational membership which caters for boys and girls from 5 to 75 years
of age. In these sections the emphasis is on improvement in body awareness,
coordination, strength, flexibility, balance and overall fitness whilst
learning new gymnastic skills and having fun in a safe environment. The
children work towards British Gymnastics (BG) awards and also have the
opportunity to enter recreational competitions.
The competitive gymnasts, boys and girls, range from
novice through to county and regional squad standard. The Novice girls
through to Senior Elite regularly win medals throughout the South West.
We also have a National Champion as a coach. Training hours are dependant on what group they are in and their age.
We also run pre-school classes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Personal training
sessions can also be booked individually or in a group.
We are a BG registered club and implement
their policies and procedures to ensure that we safeguard the health,
safety and welfare of all the gymnasts. In addition the registration of all club
coaches, gymnasts and officials ensures that the club is covered by the
Association’s legal liability insurance policy.
